How...? How did you make the color scheme so pleasing to the eye? I've been trying to learn how to color in a similar style for over a decade now and I still can't do it. This is great work! The only thing I would suggest working on a bit, is lining your characters feet up if they're meant to be standing in a line. If not, then just ignore my advice. xD" But, yeah, this is very nice.

No problem. (: I've loved watching you grow as an artist.

And, yeah, it's trickier than people think. I still have trouble with getting my characters to look like they're on a flat surface together, especially if it's a classroom scene where you have to account for height, weight, and perspective to get the desks and the characters aligned.

Trust me, your art is far superior to mine when I was your age, you've just got to practice and go at your own pace. It's always nice to improve, but never let anyone force you into that improvement; it only leads to frustration and a desire to quit. Just go at your own place, continue doing your best, and you'll be stunned to see where you'll end up overtime. I've always been very overly-critical and an extreme perfectionist, so feeling the pressure only made my motivation levels spiral. But, one day, I told myself, "you know something, art is your hobby. Hobbies are supposed to make you happy and be carefree, so why am I getting myself so worked up over this?"Β

So, I eventually just shifted my main focus on my writing (I've always preferred writing to drawing) and let my drawing progress at its own pace. It was something that took me through every emotional high and low you can think of. But, after years of tearing myself down, I finally decided I had to do what was right for me without apology.Β

Your art is starting to flourish, but don't get so caught up in the technical process that you lose sight of the fun of it. And, if it ever doesn't make you happy, forget what others think and move on to doing what makes you happy. That goes for anything is life, really. I think you enjoy drawing, but you're so hard on yourself (I'm the same way, don't feel bad). I've worked on that complex of mine for years, and while I'm still pretty harsh on myself and my work, I've realized that my work started improving more the less I focused on improving. It's strange - there's so much emphasis on "practice, practice, practice" when sometimes it just takes not thinking about it to see things grow into themselves.

Anyway, sorry for the long-winded reply. I'm just very proud of you for improving your work, standing up for yourself, and having the courage to admit when you make mistakes. They're lessons I learned the hard way over my decade online, but I came through it and have faith you will, too. You'll find your path, both in leisure activities and life in general. I know, I've been there. I also know, if you're anything like me, you're one-hundred percent disagreeing with that in the back of your mind. xD

I'll just leave you with a favorite quote of mine by Franklin D. Roosevelt: "A smooth sea never made a skilled sailor."

xD Dear God, no. That would be the blind leading the blind. I'm just an empath, so I tend to pick up on those sorts of things. I can't get my own life together, but I like to help others if I can. It's a "coaches don't play" kind of deal.

Pfft, mostly being fandom and shipping trash, to be totally honest. xD" Trust me, I've had my fair share of suicidal breakdowns on here. Hell, I once posted a vent journal where I called an anonymous person an "absolute jar of fuck" and told them to "choke on Karma's dick". So, believe me, I can understand mood instabilities. It takes a lot to push me to that point, but when someone does, my brain's like: "You're an introverted, quiet white chick, just hum "Pumped Up Kicks" and they'll leave you alone."Β

But, seriously, I know you don't know me that well, but if you ever need to vent, my virtual door is always open. ^^Β
