Duke Howard sits on the low end of the food chain. As a lesser royal, and pale to boot, Howard hardly is a social stag. He often sits alone in his father's glade, without much of servant or his own Harem. While an outsider and to himself, Howard often exhibits to the commoner's ranks to preform random acts of kindness, rather as a way to try and boost himself up.

Howard stands as a rather passive stag, rarely participating in modern politics, he also sits in his own line of depression and anxiety. Because of this, he is often soft spoken, and avoids social events, making him further more distant from the other royals. While his glade is his safe place, Howard also still takes the brunt of murder rumors from particularly down looking royals, who recall his father as being a great stag.

Howard also has a protective strain in him, wanting to protect those who are dear to him in what little ways he can, even if it means hurting himself in the process. He'd even take on a losing battle for a close friend.

Howard is a lord that looks hardly like one. Pale and thin, you'd think him to be anything BUT a lord descended stag. His thin and tall body hardly makes him look like any of his more proper fellow, and in fact, many could mistake him for being an unusually tall doe if they were a distance away.

Howard's mane and tail never grew out long, and when it started to fall from cresting, a hired hoofmaiden or hair dresser would help him with cutting the locks. He never was one for long hair, and it at least helped make him look a little more stag like. His antlers, though, were thin and rather decorative in look.

With Howard's awkward build, he is a rather clumsy stag. He doesn't quite walk with a high step, and often stumbles and pulling his muscles. It wouldn't be uncommon for you to see him with a limp after a trip or two.

History:
"First" born to Lord Scherrn (0, Spring 752)
Duke Howard if the first born son of Lord Scherrn, a lovely dark stag, and a lovely pale commoner. However, Howard was far from the perfection that was his parents. Howard turned out to be an ugly pale stag, but his father refused to speak bad of his son, and instead gave his son more attention after his next three children were all still born. Not including what would have been his older brother had died to an accident involving a tree. Howard was quite looked after by his father.

Howard's mother, on the other hand, wanted very little to do with his pale coat, and even left Scherrn's glade as soon as Howard was weaned. Howard was raised on his father's Affection, as well as his hired nannies.
Looked down upon (3, 755)

Duke Howard isn't a stag who shows much promise a a royal. He lacks skill in magic, as well as physical strength. While his father still though strong to protect his only son and child, this extended protection has caused other royal stags to think poorly of him, and to see him as being a useless member of the royal lines. However Lord Scherrn did his best to protect Howard from those cast eyes.

Father passes away, Inherits Glade (10, Spring 762)

Though Lord Scherrn was a stag of respectable cause, he certainly was not the oldest living. At 25 years old, Lord Scherrn reached his end peacefully in his sleep. With Duke Howard's lack of brothers, and Lord Scherrn's lack of male relatives, Howard inherited his father glade. Although a rumor seemed to spruce up that hunts Howard's tail- Did Howard really actually just murder his father to get the glade all to himself?
Hires Sappho, disliked hoofmaiden (13, Summer 765)
The poor hoofmaiden of bitter personality, being bounced around lord to lord, was hired by him when he got word of the socially disliked doe. While they had their moments, Howard grew to greatly enjoy the doe's presence. Their disliked coats and low standing in society made for a worthy friendship, although political tensions on Howard's end leads to some hard and regretful decisions to protect his friend. Their relationship is a rather.... interesting one, but none the less, Howard cares deeply for Sappho.
Political Tension (14/15, 766/7)
Drama royal being dramatic. Duke Howard finds himself in a tight bind. Howard's low status, pale coat, and lack of physical luster leaves him unable to defend his glade like the stag he should. He challenged for it, and is in need of the support from another respectable lord to help his case. However, the deal that is struck would seem lowly, and Howard knew it would bring anger spitting into his face, but he does it out of compassion and protection of his dearest friend.

Medical Conditions:

Clumsy
While not a medical condition, his clumsiness is definitely a cause of his rather consistent limp. He is far from coordinated, and is easily the most useless stag around for anything that requires coordination beyond a walk. In all honestly, Howard is hardly looking of the title he holds.
