Description
The stranger was tall, lithe, and pale. He stared at Sakura with a half familiar gaze. One eye was a dark brown, and the other a piercing blue, which seemed to flicker like fire behind glass.

Blood slicked and darkened the skin of his upper limbs. He remained oblivious to any pain, as he continued his listless stare of the young girl.

Suddenly, something in him seemed to break. His entire form shook. Gently he crumpled, sliding down to his knees. He continued to stare at her, head tilted slightly, chapped lips parted in a mixture of shock, fear…revelation.

Sakura took a hesitant step forward, sealing wand cautiously placed at her side. She extended a hand to the stranger’s face. Fingertips brushed cold, damp flesh. The stranger’s eyes widened and fixed on her. Tears welled in them then.

Sakura dropped her wand, both hands cupping the stranger’s face. Something so foreign, so benign, but she felt her chest clench like a weakened fist. Like the blur between reality and dreams, between tears of joy and tears of sorrow, she felt when she touched the stranger’s face. And then the name spilled between her lips, like a chalice of truth, as her own eyes hazed with tears...

“Syaoran…”

He wasn’t the Syaoran in Hong Kong…“her” Syaoran…but something in him ached with longing to be complete once more.

“I’m sorry,” Sakura whispered, without reason for an apology. She leant forward and wrapped her arms around his neck. He craned his head stiffly into her chest, tears wetting her shirt. Her voice broke and she sobbed, “I’m so sorry…!”
