So yeah I've started reading The Iron Fey series by Julie Kagawa. I'm only about half way through the first book The Iron King so I'll reserve judgement till I've finished the series as I've bought all 3 so I might as well finish them >>;;But yeah so there's a sarcastic talking cat character called Grimalkin who just reminds me so much of Mogget from The Old Kingdom trilogy (Sabriel, Lirael, Abhorsen) by Garth Nix and they were sat side by side in my mind so I decided to draw it.
Before anyone thinks I'm freakishly good at drawing cats, I'm really not, my cat Fluffy (the rescue centre named him) was quite happy to model for me and I drew over pictures I took of him. Mainly because my attempts at cats neither look cartoonish or realistic. In fact they tend to look mangled so bleh XD
Sorry if I got their eye colours wrong, I tried to look round for descriptions but everywhere just described the colour of their fur *shrug*
I have some sketches of Sabriel and Lirael lieing around but it amuses me that the first fanart I put up of the series feautres the cat XD And I can see why people like Grimalkin more than the series' heroine Megahn Chase.
So yes, enjoy a pair of sarcastic moggies.

Well there's a NicholasxLirael short story as well as a few short stories in Over the Wall but the next book is about Chlorr of the Mask. As far as I heard he has no plans to revisit Sabriel/Lirael at all.

ehem... back to the drawing. Grim is as I imagined him XD! Love that cat,really. I haven't head about the old kingdom trilogy... I'll check them out.
About the Iron Fey, the 1st I though was entertaining, things get much more complicated in the 2nd, but the 3RD!! IRON QUEEN is EPIC. Happy Reading.

The Old Kingdom trilogy is awesome <3 Very good indeed. As for Iron Fey, I'm still on book 1 and I'm um-ing and ah-ing a bit really, but I will finish all 3 (and then go buy Iron Knight if I like them) and make up my mind then.
