Here we have all the different chibis I made for the patches project. However the Ariel's in the lilac and wreck dresses were never really an option as I was certain I wanted her to be in mermaid form. However I loved the little sketches so I finished them anyway.As for Melody I intended to use the first one but it looked a bit silly occupying only the bottom corner of the patch so opted for the longer more upright version the mermaid with bag gives. I drew her in her party dress because I loved the part where she curtsied and her tiara fell out of her fringe, I thought her hair looked so cute. Hence I drew her with her hair down (which I think is much prettier for her anyway) and adjusting her waywood tiara.
Do you agree with the choices I made for the final patches? If not do say why ^^

Oh these are all just so lovely. I havta say, my favourites are the one of Ariel singing, and dressed in rags. The pose is particularly nice on that one.

Although "The Little Mermaid" is way better, I actually like Melody way more than Ariel. Why? Because unlike Ariel, Melody actually learns her lesson and changes by the end of the film. I think Melody herself is the one (and perhaps the only) redeeming factor in "The Little Mermaid II"
I really liked the film's premise-- half-mermaid girl discovers her mermaid heritage--but I feel it could've been way more original and/or fleshed out. Liz Kessler's "The Tail of Emily Windsnap" takes that same premise, but handles it MUCH better: (feedback welcome!)[link]

I love your choices, but personally I would've used human melody, since she both started and ended her movie as a human. All of these are great though!

Melody is awesome. Little Mermaid 2 is one of the only disney sequals I liked. It showed more girl power.

OMG i love these more than anything i have seen soo far. The little mermaid movies are my absolute favorite. when i was little i watched them soo many times i ran the sound out of the tape 3 times we were constantly re buying it.
