Dr. Otto Octavius was the only son of Mary Lavinia Octavius, who loved and supported Otto from the beginning for having a talent for science and being an outstanding student. However, his father, Torbert Octavius, a construction worker who was a violent macho alcoholic who regularly beat Otto and his mother for not being man enough after being bullied at school. After the death of his parents, Otto graduated with honors and became a brilliant and respectable scientist. However, due to traumatic events with his father, Otto became shy and insecure, especially due to harassment from his employer: Norman Osborn at Oscorp. Since he cannot stand for himself, he was forced to do the dirty work for him under the commission of the Big Man (Kingpin) by creating supervillains like Sandman and Rhino with the help of his four robotic A.I. arms that were made to aid people in multi-tasking. One day, while adjusting some machines with his mechanical arms inside the experiment chamber, a shadowy figure that looked like a smiling demon with yellow eyes approached the console and activated the generator. Octavius cried for help, but the radiation consumed him as he screamed in anguish. When Spiderman came to investigate Oscorp and deactivate the generator, he went to Otto's side and discovered that his mechanical arms were fused to his spine. When Norman and the Oscorp technicians arrived, Otto began to change. The once shy and easily pushed scientist became an insane megalomaniac due to his mechanical arms communicating to him and corrupting his mind knowing that people like his father and Norman don't respect him and how he should be shown his ultimate capabilities. He attacked both Spiderman and Norman, and declared himself as Doctor Octopus ! Although Spidey managed to escape his clutches and had a small fight with him, Otto escaped. He returned to his apartment to destroy everything that represents his weak self and make a new outfit for himself. He also has to wear sunglasses because the lights hurt his eyes due to the side effect of the accident. Dr. Octopus swore that the world would grovel before his genius. But first he must kill Spiderman. He caused some chaos throughout the city until he reached Coney Island, where Peter's friends are. After nearly killing Liz Allen, Spiderman had a real fight with Dr. Octopus at the top of a roller coaster, where he tricked him by electrocuting him with a neon light sign that sent him into the river below. Doc Ock became a thorn in Spidey's side by hiring Kraven the Hunter to him him, and then recruited him (along with Electro, Mysterio, Sandman, and Vulture) to form The Sinister Six with the help of Chameleon, building his own criminal empire that competes with Kingpin and Silvermane, and even tried to marry Aunt May over the inheritance of a nuclear plant ! However, he recognized her nephew: Peter as the young boy who was encouraged by him by telling him to pursue his love of science and ignore those who would make fun of him after he was helping his uncle when his car broke down.

EDIT: I fixed one of his metallic tentacles.
