I recently went on visit to the museum in my city where they have an art gallery. we had to draw something so i ended up sketching James Ward's Fighting Horses(1808). I remember looking at this painting as a kid and it totally freaked me out . Its strange that I have ended up drawing it. hope it doesnt freak you guys out too much!

reminds me of a really old animation, animated by a previous student from GCADT....who went on to work for Warner Bros or something....can't really remember as it was yonks ago!

I know the one your on about-I cant imagine anyone being able to animate hundreds of frames of horses when one picture is challenging enough!

Hell yeah, must of taken the chappie some time to complete...or it was just shear passion which drove them onwards to completion of their film. Paid off in the end for them! lucjy sods....

The music from that film is in my head every time I look at your drawing.....its getting kinda annoying actually....s.taring at an illustration playing imaginary music in my head....

seen the animation that someone at GCADT did a while ago based on one of george stubb's paintings of fighting horses... awesome stuff.
