The nosebleed is just over exaggeration but it's not that far fetched actually.
Sexual excitement increases heartbeat rate -> higher blood pressure -> more blood goes to head, which in itself doesn't normally cause nosebleed but the pressure can be felt in the nose, so those who came up with it thought it would be funny that a character gets so excited that his nose starts bleeding of the pressure in his head.

I should tell you something in case you don't know. In many Japanese Animation shows, the nose bleed is an odd interpretation of when a man is aroused. For example when I've watched Tenchi Muyo, I remembered a scene when Ryoko is naked in front of Tenchi. His nose bleeds despite that he's acting shy and hard to get. So there's no doubt that Jenny has been influenced by that kind of funny Anime interpretation.Β
