Leo was sitting on the grass, her hands busily mending her headdress after one of the feathers fell out. Pennybright grazed quietly beside her, tack-free but comfortable enough to stay beside her rider. The blonde let the headdress rest against her lap as she checked on the pintaloosa mare, watching as the red dun ate her fill of the tall grass.

After a moment, the blonde returned to her work and began to hum a tune to pass the time.

Pennybright's ears pricked forward at Leo's voice and, lifting her head, she finished chewing her mouthful as she watched the girl in interest. With the days to their first assignment slowly dwindling, this was perhaps was of the last times that they would get to completely relax.

Leo, sensing Penny's gaze, looked up. Smiling, the young woman gently brushed the mare's leg. "What're you thinking about, Penny?" The mare snorted softly, touching her nose to Leo's head before turning and looking out at the vast expanse of land before them. The blonde smiled, chuckling to herself before picking up the headdress once more.

"Me too, Penny. Me too."

I seriously forgot how much I LOVE to draw Pennybright. I can't believe I let her sit alone and gather dust for so long.

Anyway, just another image to prepare myself for the #HARPG-Outlaw-Trail . I wanted to practice drawing the type of scenery again and, as an added bonus, it was another excuse to draw Penny! -dances-

Can't wait for the next assignment!
