Tagg
As Broccan’s Gate closed behind him, Tagg flagged his tail in a friendly goodbye to the Gate’s keeper for the day before trotting off and away quickly. His hooves punched into the freshly fallen snow from the night before with a pleasant crunch and the young stag’s breath clouded around him, passing briefly through his first real set of antlers before it faded away.
It was still a strange sensation, having his first set of tines. He hadn’t believed Malachi when he had said how itchy it would be but boy had it been! His father had shown him how to rub his antlers against the trees inside of Haven but warned him to refrain from doing so outside of the Gate.
