Description
Hey kids, it's Inktober time again and/or "whatever else-tobers" going on too.
Going with those dang word prompts again this year,
so let's turn up the juice and see what shakes loose.
ANYWAY.....
For the 22nd day of Inktober this year (heist),
my 1st idea was to draw up an evil mirror universe version of the Transformers character "Hoist".
Yes a fairly unimaginative concept of good guy "Hoist" becoming bad guy "Heist". Now even though I have added color to several Inktober pics, I still try to keep color to a minimum.
(the current exception being the full color Inktober day 13 "kind")
As is always the case in doing an evil/good switched version of a Transformers character
this entire pic would be really dependent on an alternate color scheme for the character.
And in a B/W illustration probably wouldn't come across very well.
So I decided to throw that idea out.
My 2nd idea was to go with an Arabian Nights theme, and draw up something involving "The 40 Thieves".
Now I know that a daily deadline is not really that important in participating in all these whatever-tobers,
but I still like to try to keep it, and decided that this would take to long for the daily Inktober schedule.
So I threw this idea out too.
Finally my 3rd idea was to have TheBlackCat, Catwoman, RougeTheBat, and SlyCooper
all trying to steal The Pink Panther Diamond at the same time.
But yet again, I decided that this would take way too long to whip out.
So I opted to change it to a just single thief....but which 1 of the 4 thieves would it be?
Taking a cue from Prince Akeem, I let fate decide with a few coin flips.....
1st coin flip between TheBlackCat and Catwoman - Catwoman wins.
2nd coin flip between RougeTheBat, and SlyCooper - RougeTheBat wins.
3rd coin flip between RougeTheBat, and Catwoman - RougeTheBat wins.
Seeing as how I had already done a Rouge pic for Inktober earlier,
I considered throwing her out in favor of one of the other 3 anyway.
But in the end I just decided "meh, doesn't matter".
And here we are.
Ink and markers on paper with a little Photoshopping here & there.
