Description (hopefully you can see why I called it that)
This was done with a drawing and photoshop, just like using a transparency flipped over on top of image.
Made from Kneb[link]

HOLY CRAP. O______O:;; I saw your gallery on Art Wanted and just had to follow your DA link to check out your gallery here, and my godfather, your stuff is amazing! This one in particular caught my eye because of the hidden image(s) - I love artworks that invite different readings, and when I look at this piece, I can see all sort of animals materialising out of the tapestry... I see the same thing as 'Sis who commented above; a totem row of animals! From the top down, I've found a mouse, a bear, an owl and at the bottom, a wolf with really cool glowing eyes. It's fascinating how the artwork makes your eyes keep adjusting to see the different forums. Hey, and not to detract from your obvious technical talent - the attention to detail that you inject in your artworks is superhuman, and I love the colour and surreal shapes of your pieces! Fantastic work dude, and I've gotta show you off on my favs list! ^.^

Makes my brain think it's on payotie and after wandering into a cave of water I meet a totem poll of animal spirt guides, I see a whole row of animals.

If I focus on the center of this, where the greens come into play (so a little up-center) I can see a faint amphibial structure... one that reminds me exactly of my favorite painting by Francesco Celemente entitled "Self Portrait," painted in 1983. (If you feel like finding that painting online to see what I'm referring to-- good luck because I haven't been able to find it ANYWHERE. If you find it, pleeeease link me.)

Although I like this and am a fan of strange things you can produce with CG effects on natural media based work, you of all people do not need computer effects to make your images more compelling or interesting. If it was just for fun however, I understand.

Thanks so much, I really do value your opinion. I was a bit reluctant on submitting these, but what the heck, you gotta admit it's neat how Kneb made a bear and a cat! As for the others, well, I guess I wanted to see what kind of reaction I would get. I personally feel they discount the hard work that goes into it by hand. Although I can spend a few hours tinkering with these on photoshop, they are only possible by spending a few weeks, or a few months, with pencils and paper. I wanted to submit a couple more but I think I got the pattern phase out of my system (for now). Maybe one more.

Just when I think you can't do any better with the computer, you go and put this beautiful piece up.
I do see the fat cat as well as several other 'ghost-like' images. It's mind-boggling almost.
This is a meandering plus some.

I can't see it...but it doesn't matter much. The colors are pleasing and the whole thing just kind of sucks you in. You just sit there staring at it, lost in the vivid colors and swirlies. You say it is just an overlay on a picture...did you make the transparency, or is it a default?

strohat In reply to leeluxero [2004-02-12 03:34:14 +0000 UTC]

I just duplicated layer, flipped horizontal, auto contrast, and walla, Fat Cat.
