The only problem I've got with this series is logistics. Misty is a water type trainer, therefore I think even Ash would get suspicous if ALL of his traveling companions used only water type. Then again, that could just be me nit picking.

Hm, indeed if I remember correctly I had thought about Misty in guise of the girls (well mainly May when she first begins [sort of, meaning i hadn't exactly thought about the pokemon she caught, but catching the Pokemon she has nonetheless], I think Dawn with Piplup and Lillie with her Alolan Vulpix, but that doesn't mean I thought she'd have water Pokemon in guise of the other girls) obtaining the Pokemon the other girls canonically own or catch along the way, but never about Ash being suspicious if they were to have only water Pokemon. (Well, actually, the closest to that I thought was that Misty would be better off as someone who isn't Lana in Sun and Moon since they're both water Pokemon trainers in order to avoid suspicion from Ash) She could find friends to leave them with in each region like Ash has after their journey ends and it's time for a new disguise. Anyway, the idea of an AU where Misty had been every girl after her in disguise was something I'd been wanting to see for some time ever since I had the idea and I find it to be my best Pokemon masking idea ever.
