Something I've been working on with with our two characters Stu and Lux travelling across post apocalyptic world looking for stuff!At the mo just stopping for under some shade to find a place of interest, and refuelling the saw.

Stu, this is massive.
The airplane details are really impressive. I love how realistic the landing gear mechanics look. Just the right texture, details, and color. I can't help but wonder what took more work--the characters or the airplane mechanics haha. And geez, did you actually put in each individual rivet/pixel??
I'm also glad this pic is uploaded at a pretty high resolution--that's the best way to enjoy your pics!! It seems like you were experimenting a lot with rust in this pic, seeing it on the gears, the ground, and even on the equipment of Stu and Lux.
Going to guess the yellow saggy things in the background are old escape chutes left deployed?
I look a lot for contrasts in pics, and perhaps this wasn't intended, but I sort of like the contrast of a gorgeous blue sky with bits of whispy clouds paired against an old rotting plane; a piece of machinery that used to dominate that sky.
Really like the industrial-looking buildings in the background (going to guess it's some type of airport building), and sadly, I think I would have missed it if I wasn't really paying close attention to this pic. Again, your pics continually reward the viewer for continuing to look at every aspect. Especially love the tiny yellow "Danger" text on the belly of the airplane.
The characters have great posing and definitely look like friends eager to figure out what's next. Also, I'd love to have Lux's goggles/glasses since whatever they are, they're awesome. These characters have a ton of accessories, which is understandable given the situation they're in! Also, great job on the lighting, very nice how the light hits Stu since he's out from under the fuselage/wing while Lux sits under relaxing in the shade.

It was sweet looking at the landing gear up close and seeing some of those details. I made a brush to do those rivets that left dots instead of a line. Photoshop tricks!
Had to for this one since I did paintit at a higher resolution than normal, and then the characters would be hard to see for the whole picture, and your right about them being emergency chutes.
That is the setting of the world, post apocalyptic where modern tech has fallen into ruin and nature carries on looking good. Spot on with the airport at the back and there are a bunch of things that I spend time on that people won't see, but I have fun doing them hahaha
Cheers again as that was the main focus on the pic when I started it, then zoomed out to do the rest of the pic. Probably the wrong way of doing it as most of the details I spent time doing would be lost. That was the plan of having the two under different lighting conditions. It was a good study and experienceΒ :]

You're right! There is a sort of Ratchet & Clank quality to this picture. The detail here is impeccable and the lighting makes everything so much more realistic. A story about this would be very interesting indeed.

Haha, nice to know someone agrees. Β Perhaps if the artist has the same interest something like that could come along. Β I'd help if possible. Β I may not be an artist but I'll lend my writing hand for such a creative piece. Β I love the survival in a otherwise dead world theme. Β Perhaps this piece doesn't seem as dark as something like The Last of Us but it could still make an interesting tale.

Oh and I just read fighter-jet's post about comments just like the one I made. Β I meant no offense by it I swear. This plain has obviously see better days.Β I have to ask tho,Β Why have the emergency slides been deployed?Β It appears that one side of the landing gear did not deploy correctly. I guess the question I should be asking is why did it crash land?

looks like on of the landing gears failed to deploy, or maybe it hit something on the runway, and the occupants had to bail quickly.

I thought it was a photograph of a couple of guys working on a tire change, and still thought that until I realized that I was looking at two anthros.
