Your costume is the problem, as is the title, as is the usage of "squaw". Maybe I'm spreading negative vibes, but at least my source isn't tvtropes.org; I talk with and am friends with real Native American people. Why? Oh, I don't know, maybe because I AM NATIVE AMERICAN. Not all of us have red skin, so don't think you can just put me in a box with the rest of the white activists. They have just as much right to question your views as I do, but any Native American will tell you that we are people, not just a plot device in movies to be mocked with costumes.

Again... not mocking anything or anyone. Paying tribute to a classic theme in horror movies with an original twist on zombie costuming.

This is so offensive in so many ways I can't even begin to say.

True, but many people just don't get it, it's rather depressing. I want to throw shoes at them.

Of course that would mean they were actually close enough to throw the shoe, and that's almost worse.

I agree with Roaming. This is offensive. Before you put anything up about a different culture, do some research and get your facts so you don't offend anyone.

Also, Disney lied to you - no real Native American says "how" and means it.

FYI:
Squaw is an offensive term. Also, side note: how would you feel if Native Americans dressed up as white people for halloween? What if I dress as a black person?
It would be offensive.
So is this.

I don't typically waste my time responding to comments like this, but your attempt at political correctness is so unproductively obnoxious, I can't not respond.
This costume was created for Comic Con Zombie Walk. A common setting for horror and zombie movies is the proverbial Indian burial ground -- a cliche explanation for the hauntings or raising of the dead. If that's racist, feel free to let Stephen King and Sam Raimi know...
You should probably thoroughly do your research before you start making unnecessary accusations:
tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/IndianBurialGround
nativeweb.org/pages/legal/squaw.html
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/How_%28greeting%29
Now go find something more productive and effective to do with your time (like helping people rather than spreading negative vibes).
