Because Scourge wasn’t a nice character, he only started to soften up with everyone around him and be less “cruel” during halfway through the comic and we see that when he’s talking to Smokey and then he’s later killed because of him becoming weak and more emotional. It changes a lot because are forgetting the fact he wasn’t a nice character to begin with.
