Rei... looking vulnerable, just like the Otaku guys like itI used to actually like Rei more than Asuka when I watched the series 1 million years ago, she was cool and mysterious. But when I grew older I started to groan "oh Japan..." when anime series always had the soulless uber-submissive girl, especially with the invention of body pillows...
But Eva is a classic, and after watching the rebuild I really just wanted to switch it off and watch the series. I like my old animes *whittles a stick*

This is a really adorable Rei. I love her hair, it looks so great. ;3; Poor Rei tends to spend all her time beat up in fanart, haha. I'm not complaining, I am one of those creepy dorks that likes it that way.
I really don't like Rei in the animu, but I like her in the manga because she has a -bit- more character development. A bit. I found her tedious in the show for the most part when I was a wee one. As for rebuild... I like the first one (minus a few qualms), but omg the second one is horrible and I hate it.
