Because I knew I'd be spending a ton of money on my long-awaited cruise around Japan, I set a goal to make (rather than buy) gifts for my people this year. For my family's birthdays, I have been making collages!
This is the first I made, for my husband in January. The primary image was the arctic fox; everything else was selected to complement that. I used images cut from calendars, magazines, and rock concert programs, as well as stickers, waxed thread, metallic markers, colored pencils, and ink pens. Paper was attached using a glue stick.
Although this is so far removed from my usual work, I really enjoyed making an energetic and fun piece like this. More have already been made since! I hope my family likes them 😊
