Description This is the first image in the series drawn in Canada, and the first one completed, and completed with any amount of success. The period after I returned from Asia to live in Canada, was a low art period. There are numerous reasons, but the easiest to convey is that I was truly on my own for the first time in my life. Let me tell you, working a full-time job (for a lot of the period, I was working both a full-time and a part-time job!) to make ends meet, as well as running an apartment (washing, cooking, cleaning, etc.) was time consuming and exhausting.

Nevertheless, after a few pitiful failures, I did manage to punch out a few noteworthy pieces. I tried to capture some of the elements from the B (Korea/Japan) series and mix them with things I was seeing on the commute to work on the Skytrain. The tracks passing under a building complex is inspired by Edmonds Station.

I remember putting a lot of thought into the bus stop and the arrangement of the parking facilities. I think the most noteworthy aspect of the image is the return of many elements from the BC transportation engineering designs. The roof supported by wires is also a fairly prevalent design used in Vancouver.
