Was bored and have draw something...so here you go!
Shining Armoriam Sparkle, is Twilight’s big brother, and the husband of Princess Mi Amore Cadenza. Shining used to be near the bottom of the list on the rankings of the magical guard, but with sheer dedication and hard work he rose up and became the Captain. Due to Princess Cadance’s status Shining is now considered Prince and Acting General of the Crystal Empire…

It is mostly because he does not really looks like a guard here, more like an outcast or something, so I didn't linked this picture to him.
He has armor, yes, but it is mostly covered on the cape.
The only thing I see may be the star. It is meant to have 6 spikes, not 8.

Yeah, I though so. But my point kinda remains. Lut us be honest, after seeing Shining on how purple armor on the wedding, and then with a heavy coat, it can be hard to realice it is him.
Headcanon: Ponies are so linked to the 'destiny' of their marks that they often change their names to fit better with the talent.
