The girl looks great, of course, but I love the look of that bike (what we can see of it). I also love all the little details in this picture- lots to look at! The colors and tones are applied really well.
One thing that stands out to me are the hands- great work on them!
As an aside, I see the title "Gunsmith", and I wonder if you've ever read the manga series "Gunsmith Cats"?

Well, sort-of. I just keyed off the "gunsmith" part of the title. Gunsmith Cats has a lot of cross-over appeal for the comic-book fan, if you wanted to check it out. It has plenty of action, and I like the black-and-white (with screentones) look that it has, as it makes it easier to follow than some of the modern comic books that use way too much CG.

Originally the character had a sword too - i wasn't keen on it because there's no place to conceal it in her backpack. When the commission went wrong, i was left with the sketches. I posted one, and wanted to emphasise the gun in the sketch - Gunsmith came up from a previous conversation I had where i was looking up synonyms for Gunslinger in French. I'm a little isolated from manga - but i do what Akira fairly often - love the first 5 minutes!

Ah, gotcha. Just one note- the Japanese tend to refer to "manga" in terms of the comic-book form- so, black and white comics are manga. Anime tends to refer to the animated versions. This ties into your mention of French- anime either comes from an abbreviation of "animation", or some people believe the etymology derives from dessins animes. In the early days, the term "manga eiga" was used.
She looks great, so it's too bad about the commission.

I LOVE how crazy detailed this is! Especially the highlights and shading on her boots and everything in the background.
I love her pose, her arched back especially. So stylized, and yet it still looks very accurate. I love how she's dressed as a crazy killing school girl. Its almost random, and I love how you draw faces. Its the way I've always wanted to draw, myself.
