Description It is always fun to come across an old illustration you completely forgot you had drawn. I think this is from the late nineties, but I'm still pretty happy with it. It is an African Elephant, Asian Elephants have smaller ears.

So awsm....What I love about it is that it could be seen as either aggressive or just passively glancing. Makes it very realistic.

Wow I love the boldness how was it achieved?

I think a lot of the boldness comes from having a pretty neutrally colored elephant and a chromatic background. I also kept most of the solid blacks on the elephant.

Your stuff is really coming along. If you don't believe me look at some of your early gallery pieces. Your inking is improving with leaps and bounds.

Thanks for the compliment. It really means a lot I have definately been practicing and trying new things, some of which have really been working with the rudimentary style that I seem to be developing

He looks scary, like he would kill someone. African Elephants are lovely but a little scary especially when they are angry. ^^

Thanks, it is a few years old. I think I was looking at a National Geographic for reference. They have the best animals.

Paintbrushes and I don't get along either, especially now that I have kids. Wacoms are a whole lot more friendly.
