i love how you gave it not such a smooth surface. people seem to often forget that whales, dolphins, and porpoises get scars too.

Awsome water effects! I am once again first drawn to the background then my eyes always switch to the main character. I also find the detail and proportion impectible but not perfect. If art was perfect then it wouldn't be.

The actual drawing is all pencil work with a little marker on some of the black areas. I have three or four underwater backgrounds which I reuse for all of my underwater animal pictures. This background was originally painted for the Creature from the Black Lagoon illustration I have up. I just modify it a bit every time I slap it behind something else. I list everything as traditional because the majority of my creative process is done using old by hand methods.
