Just think how shocked BonnieΒ would be if she saw the Tyrantrum attack the Aurorus like the T-Rex did in the land before time because the Tyrantrum she meet wasn't like that.

When I found this movie online the summer of 2015, it brought back memories of all the sequels I saw when I was a kid. I'm so glad the franchise was resurrected and that I found this picture.

But isn't Aurorus is an amargasaurus and not brontosaurus ?

You'd be correct but Little Foot was an Apatosaurus.

Um the producers said that Littlefoot, alongside his family, was originally Brontosaurus. They just used the name Apatosaurus in the later sequels due to the changes back then. And thanks to a study 2 years ago, Littlefoot can be called Brontosaurus again now.

Sorry for late reply. I accidently deleted my notification before replying it.

Back in the late 80's and early 90's, Brontosaurus was a fake dinosaur because the known specimen had the wrong skull. I know that they recently announced they may have found a "real" one but I remain skeptical because it's not uncommon for scientists to think they found a new dinosaur species only to discover later that what they found was actually a juvenile of a known species or even a member of a known species with a disfigurement where the bone was damaged or altered to the point where people would think it was a different animal altogether. Bones are reliable but often can steer us wrong.

I don't think you know well about Brontosaurus history, so let me correct you (but you need to know about classification first)

Brontosaurus was never been a fake dinosaur. It was never even been a mistake. When it was discovered in 1879, Brontosaurus was thought to be its own genus in the first place. In 1903, Riggs argued that Brontosaurus has many similiarities to Apatosaurus (probably without noticing it still has enough differences to be a separate genus from Apatosaurus), so they classified Brontosaurus excelsus (the only Brontosaurus species in that time) as Apatosaurus excelsus. Yes, they did put the wrong head, but that wasn't the reason why Brontosaurus was classified into Apatosaurus (it was because of Riggs' argument). Because there are no Brontosaurus skull had been discovered, they sculpted a skull based of Camarasaurus and put it in the skeletal mount. They realized it was wrong after Apatosaurus louisae (now classified as Brontosaurus louisae, I'll discuss this later) was discovered with a skull with it in 1909 (6 years after Brontosaurus was lumped into Apatosaurus). Since that, Brontosaurus became a junior synonym to Apatosaurus. Still, there are a few people, one of them is Robert T. Bakker, who argued that Apatosaurus ajax (an Apatosaurus species) and Apatosaurus excelsus (the original Brontosaurus) should be separated (and I agree with him because he's my favourite paleontologist and he's a cool guy).

Later, a study in 2015 concluded that Brontosaurus is indeed a valid genus and it is separated from Apatosaurus. The study also classified some Apatosaurus species (Apatosaurus parvus and Apatosaurus yahnahpin) as Brontosaurus species (therefore Brontosaurus parvus and Brontosaurus yahnahpin). Recently, Apatosaurus louisae turned out to be more closely related to Brontosaurus than to Apatosaurus ajax, so it became Brontosaurus louisae now, leaving Apatosaurus ajax as the only species of Apatosaurus genus.

We actually have a juvenile Brontosaurus parvus specimen. I know its uncommon but you somehow make it sounds like it always happens.

No matter how damaged or incomplete a specimen is, it would still be atleast distinguishable as a species of a genus or a genus itself.
