Very nice use of light and colour. I feel like the beam of lighting and energy that fires down from the clouds creates such an engaging, dynamic focal point; the sheer brightness of it is simply ridiculous.
Only to reinforce this epicentre of action, the spiralling clouds that encircle the entire image add so much more power to the beam, really making it quite extravagant.
It's warm, striking colour compared to the rest of the image also heightens its appearance, creating that extremely high contrast with the light as a background to the much darker figures, sharpening the look of the image along with the powerful gleams of light that are emitted from the lightning.
However, I do feel like the perspective remains probably the most imminent and dynamic factor of the piece.
Everything just seems to explode and emanate from one point at the very bottom of the brilliant shaft of light - such a simple, one-direction perspective is so engaging.
The way the scene interacts with the viewer and involves them, however, is even more engaging.
The nearest character just appears so striking with the extreme angle of his posture facing towards the lightning, increasing the size of his nearer body parts, particularly his hand and leg.
That zoom-like effect paired with the immense detail and already large scale is simply amazing - it truly pushes the audience into the thick of the battle and conveys the distancing of the scene so nicely. The warrior just appears so daunting and huge, but with the perfect posture the momentum as he strides into combat is conveyed amazingly well.
I can almost feel the power of the wind, just pushing the figure back, rearing up his huge body right into the viewer's perspective - we are truly put inside the scene.
Similar to this, the giant claw of what appears to be a tornado or some sort of awesome gust uses that intimidating form paired with the extremely powerful perspective to look extremely confronting. The way it looms and rears up right over the audience's head, it's huge form blocking out the light; simply awesome.
The use of motion heightens the scene as a whole even more, the bits of debris, whipping cloth and furious winds all reinforcing the perspective emanating from that one vanishing point, creating an overwhelmingly powerful impact. The chaos of it all paired with the insane light is truly overwhelming.
The slightly titled angle of the shot and the low viewing angle also makes everything seem a lot more intimidating and tall, as well as conveying that sense of disorientation in the supreme chaos of it all.
The audience is both caught up in the scene, directly involved in it with how close-up the scene comes into their view, and completely overwhelmed by the sheer stature of the situation.
It's as if we're in the position of a warrior that has fallen down in the midst of the awesome battle, just left to marvel at the truly insane scene that furiously towers over us - we're not just looking at the scene, we're in it, comrades rearing up in our faces, debris clawing at our bodies, wind wrapping around ourselves and chaos exploding from the light that blinds us.
Again, the perspective in combination with the simply explosive light source and immense detail really puts together the image, creating such a captivating sense of involvement and impact that's undeniably powerful. So dynamic, like I haven't said it enough, it's as if we are in the fight; truly unbelievable.
Awesome work!
