oil, acrylic, and ink on canvasan experiment in expressionism. the background has lots of scribbly rants on it that are not really legible in the photo (or on the actual piece for that matter)

that is absolutely beautiful. i love the way the writing fades in and out as if it had been written on an unstable surface and then rippled. the figure is experiencing such torn emotions, it seems so agonizing and painfully sad but it is expressed so perfectly well the way you painted it. great work

It's interesting, but it seems a little awkward (I've never been a really big fan of expressionism). But it's nicely done nonetheless.. the scribbled writing in the background is a nice touch.
