My OC Samantha Harding! Some of you may know her from my old account ~GreenPeace49 but I've never formally introduced her, so yeah.

Samantha has grown up a fairly happy child, but once she becomes a teenager, everything takes a sharp turn. Her father David dies unexpectedly in a drive-by shooting when she is 14 years.
Her mother Hannah is a genetic specialist, who gets hired to work on a special unit with a separate company, which is actually corrupt and run by a powerful undercover gang, known as the Morte Rouge, literally meaning, Red Death.
Neither Sam or her mother have any idea that the company is illegitimate, and searching for an answer that Sam’s mother, brilliant though she was, just doesn’t have.
One day, Hannah stumbles across the “company’s” true intentions for her and her work. Horrified, she calls Sam at home to warn her, because according to the files she's unearthed, she is to be the gang's latest target seeing as how she hasn't been able to provide them with a suitable answer.
Unfortunately Sam is at a friend's house and doesn’t pick up the phone, forcing her mother to leave a voicemail. Even worse; the staff catches Hannah making the call, and brutally murder her on the spot without hesitation, before she can hang up the phone.
They search her cell phone and discover Sam’s number. Not knowing how much she knows or how strong her relationship to Hannah is, they decide to track her down to finish her off as well.
Eventually Sam gets home, and checks the voicemail messages; ending with her mother being “terminated”. Horrified and overcome with grief she manages to run away to her best friend Megan’s house. Megan’s parents are away for an anniversary trip and have left her with her uncle from North Carolina who is straightening out some financial issues at the time.
Unfortunately, agents track Samantha’s cell phone and find her within the hour. Both girls put up a fight, but wind up down for the count, and the two gang members holding Sam down force her to watch as Megan is choked to death. Megan loses consciousness and Samantha is thoroughly enraged, flipping out at the gangsters and catching them off guard she makes a mad dash for the fire escape hoping to head them off. A moment afterwards, Megan regains her senses and follows the noise. She’s still a little fuzzy and hasn’t regained her senses so she doesn’t see Sam jump onto the fire escape, the gang members following at her heels.
The MorteRouge had planted explosives in the kitchen, and set them off as they follow Sam, to make sure there are no survivors. However Megan survives. While she is badly injured, with three third-degree burns and bad smoke inhalation and scars from where a burning beam strikes her a glancing blow on the shoulder- she is alive, and very much so.
She’s in a coma for three days, and then comes out of it, but doesn’t remember the incident itself. Her uncle contacts her parents and they arrive on the last day of her coma. A week after the whole incident, authorities find Hannah’s body, and Megan remembers Sam coming over to tell her this and being hysterical, but she can’t remember what happened after that.
Sam gets away and lives in the alleys for a week out of fear that she’ll lead her trackers to someone else’s house. Unfortunately they find and capture her, taking her to a warehouse (rumored to be haunted) near the pier. She is under captivity for three and a half weeks, the longest weeks ever of her life. They torture and perform a number of chemical experiments on her. She is injected with doses of drugs so potent they were not unlike chemotherapy. The drugs cause her hair to start falling out in clumps, and alter her features. They also severely weaken and incapacitate her.
She takes a blow to the head that knocks her unconscious and gives her a bad concussion upon arrival to the warehouse, which resulted in complete anemia. She couldn’t remember anything about herself or her life for a week. For that week she is in a state of complete confusion and despair because she doesn’t know anything more than what they’ve been telling her. They accuse her of murder and that she deserves the punishment she’s getting. A few of the gang members even take it a level further and visit her in her cell to further taunt her. She was even raped by one, who told her things that deeply wound her self-esteem and view of herself. “Yer a wild child, I like dat in a woman,” “I’ve done every broad in this town, I’ve moved on ta tha freaks.” “Freak fest is in town, don’t want to miss your caravan.” And other atrocities that she never forgets.
Donatello and Michelangelo are on patrol one night, and are fooling around by the docks, ready to go home, when Mikey hears something. They go to investigate and find one of the hideouts of the Morte Rouge. Upon further investigation, they discover Samantha, but are trapped by rogue gang members who believe they are sabotaging an underground (no pun intended) operation. Raphael and Leonardo come to rescue them in the nick of time, and after some hesitation, Leonardo agrees to take Samantha home with them.

She has a hard time adjusting to life in the sewers at first, but with Michelangelo and Splinter's help, she adapts.
