curfewbreaker / first light spills like a puddle / hipwader
splash into tomorrow / eat the moon like candy
mouthbreather / memory is a child clutching your leg
in the park / i am child & remembrance
shrine containing only refrigerators / macaroni picture frames
i want to explain / call home
how the sidewalk lies / how careless i am
curious boy / nothing knows truth like absence
exhale / your leaving will be an invitation
i can / will follow you out

this has a really nice rhythm to it and the images feel like familiar memories and I think the arrangement of it all evokes that feeling of remembering

absence not a misspelling here i am thinking. you seem to be lighting incense. correct? or no? space is sometimes needed before talking i think. it will come in time. excellent poem here. will make it a fave.

i don't even have a word for this. it's out of the world with what it manages to do, i'm honestly so in awe and i also feel like this poem broke some of my bones. so much love
