agreed, hear about the postal worker reprimanded for showing up to work intoxicated? He gets a union paid driver and gets to keep his job. Real case in Denver a few years back... Our taxes at work...
Competition breeds a better work force, unions have out lived their purpose and been glutted while the rest of us have to scrape to make due.
My personal favorite, I work in a small Catholic book store, I can't sell you half of what is out there because of a strict and appropriate stand against chinese manufactured goods. (Enforced suppression of the Church, national policy of forced abortions, labor abuses and counterfeit and poisonous products for starters...) Ne ways I digress. Americans don't actually make or produce anything so we are forced to find product from elswhere. Oh yeah, because of the work done by Unions to protect the worthless and overpaid, Items that are produced here cost twice as much a items produced in Europe, shipped over seas and taxed at the borders before getting to us...
How in the world did we get here... (please don't answer that, it's a rethorical question.)

You`ve hit the nail on the head! Unions are not needed any longer and are a leech on this country.
Liberals will say how corporations control the government and how tax-cuts cost us the money. In reality, their beloved unions are more corrupt and cost more money than anything.
They`d die if they had to do real work for a change...
Faved without question!

Thanks! My main target here is the tactics of the Union PACs and public sector Unions (gee, you'd think there was a conflict of interest when public employee unions contribute to political campaigns through a PAC and tell government workers who to vote for...).
I've got to tell you, I know a lot of Union workers here, hard core TEA Party Conservatives; who just don't contribute to the PAC and are struggling to bite their tongues right now just to keep the job.
Not all are bad, just the leadership and PACs!

Well see, that`s the messed up way they work. If you don`t contribute they pretty much kick you out...
Unions need serious reform if they have to stay. I think they should only exist to prevent abuse of workers. They shouldn`t demand what they do; like allowing lazy bums to keep jobs.
Though with labor laws in place, abuse is very rare. I mean, non-union workers are treated fairly, aren`t they?

I agree, unions need reform; namely in the form of competition... Perhaps if there were two Carpenter or Electrician Unions competing for contracts... Like everyone else... That and the requirement to have either NO PAC; or a PAC that supports the 'other side' of the aisle politically... Honestly, I'd just love to see any Union supporting government workers be forced to do away with their PAC and any possibility of striking.

I agree 100%, public sector workers need to fear the loss of their job should they screw up instead of having the Unions intimidate their employer (Mr. and Ms. Taxpayer) into letting them keep it!
Thanks for the comment! Figured you would get a kick out of this one!
