Hear Hear Rotti!
Zimmerman is an idiot, he deserves to be prosecuted for second degree murder, the kid Travon, didn't do anything, I don't even think he actually threatened Zimmerman. He may be hispanic but his behavior was ignorant and bigoted. It isn't about race, not the shooting, anyway. It's about an over zealous self riteous fool on a power trip who happened to have a gun and used it. I am sure a psych eval is in order... regardless about how you feel, whether it's about race relations or about second ammendment rights, there is an innocent kid dead, a grieving family and a man that should be behind bars for it. The Black chip on the shoulder isn't going to bring Travon back, the Sheriff owning up to mistatkes isn't going to bring him back and Zimmerman being put behind bars isn't going to either....that is what makes this so tragic.

Wow, way to jump to conclusions there.
R0tti is right with his points (that, and we both 'have been there' on numerous occasions with the safety off ready without much trigger slack left in the face of a threat). Take note of point #5. Its clear Zimmerman needs to face investigation, and possibly prosecution (and as more comes out its more apparent, but that should be something a Grand Jury discusses, not news reporters).
In case you haven't noticed, the amount of race baiting going on in this case is reprehensible. Frankly, the issue of race is merely speculation on the part of the usual gang of idiots who dig up anything they can to continue the myth of systemic racism (remember the Duke Lacrosse case in which that team was accused of gang raping a black woman who happened to be a stripper who was later found to be lying and then eventually prosecuted for hiring a hitman to kill her ex-boyfriend?).
Zimmerman faces prosecution. He will see justice in the courts.
However, collateral damage is already pretty massive. There is a couple in their 70's living in a hotel in fear for their lives because movie director Spike Lee Tweeted their home address as that of Zimmerman. All this after the Black Panthers were marching through the streets with guns dressed in military clothing carrying Wanted Dead or Alive posters with Zimmermans face on it. Perhaps you haven't heard of the small scale rioting and looting in some neighborhoods as well. All this because Jackson, Sharpton, and the President have already jumped to the racial bias conclusion (remember the 'Beer Summit' early in Obama's Presidency... You'd think he'd have learned already...).
Yet another frustrating fact, tell me what recent breakthrough has happened with the Operation Fast and Furious investigation (if you recall what it is)?
Days ago, they discussed slapping AG Holder with Contempt of Congress for his failure to disclose large amounts of information about the BATFEs involvement in the gun smuggling scandal that has resulted in a dead Border Patrol Agent. Yet, now the Federal government is going to investigate Zimmerman BEFORE the State of Florida, the County, and likely local municipality have finished their investigation and gone to Grand Jury?!
I don't think this is coincidence one bit.

Woah there tac-p, easy...
I am aware of all the bs surrounding this...
I am not surprised that again, the Federal Gov't has overstepped it's bounds and trumped states rights... That pulicity stunts and power trips are running amuck. Everybody is looking for an angle. Rioters, are idiots, Pack thinking is stupid, I get that.
I just feel for Trayvon's family. They should be allowed to grieve, to bury their son, to see that justice is served. This circus surrounding his death, the media frenzy and the racial and political bs isn't what they need right now.
We are obsessed with sensationalism as a nation and this is now sensationalized. I am sick... just sick, the media is latching on to the emotionalism while our government continues down the slippery slope of totalitarionism, no body seems to notice that matters. I am not blind, just tired and aching in my heart for a mom who lost her son, for a dad a brother. She is one of millions, but she is in the public eye. These idiots are using this family's greif to push an agenda... as usual.

Amen - a few thoughts:
1) Martin Luther King Jr. would definitely be appalled at how the same hate crimes are being perpetuated - but this time the races are reversed (even though the shooter was hispanic AND a democrat, the lib media and the hate group NBP and hate mongers Jesse, Al, Spike, et. al. are calling him a white guy to make a race issue).
2. The prosecutors told the police to release the shooter because they felt they didn't have enough evidence for a conviction (on murder).
3. A grand jury should hear the evidence and decide the fate of the shooter - NOT racially motivated vigilantes.
4. Those of us that have taken the responsibility to arm ourselves all know that something just sounds VERY WRONG about leaving the safety of your vehicle to pursue a suspect when you are able to flee the confrontation in said vehicle. Either the shooter did some very dumb things or we aren't being told the truth.
Dangerous, deadly confrontations flare up and fizzle out in seconds and the moment when someone has to decide to take a life usually happens in HUNDREDTHS of a second.
Once it's over and the police are called, it will take hours, days, weeks and possibly months to really get to the truth of what exactly happened.
Even the shooter may not really realize what all happened until they are talking slowly with their attorney (hopefully).
When you are amped up, just shot and killed another living being, and the police are all over the scene, you are going to be the WORST witness. It will take days for things to slow down.
5. IF he killed the kid wrongfully (not self defense), then the prosecutor needs to do his or her job and see this through via the courts - not the streets.
Martin Luther King Jr. would vomit if he saw how the hate mongers today are trying to commit acts of terror in the name of their race - MLK saw the days when innocent black men were treated like dogs and HE DID NOT ADVOCATE DOING THOSE THINGS BACK! He advocated PEACE, not racial tension.
