Kataang again.Today is Loi Kratong day.
the day we show appreciation for the river spirit "Kong Ka".It's actually for a contest at KF. but deadline have already past. I don't know if they'll accept mine, since I don't see any other candidates.
I was about to draw a traditional "Kratong" (small raft made of banana tree parts) but then again, Chiang Mai's "Yi Peng" (Sky lantern) is mush more cooler.

This is drawn before Tangled is out. The lanterns are based on my local tradition in every full moon of 12th Lunar month. or "Loi Kratong". Tangled lanterns are based on this.
Don't get me wrong. Tangled lantern scene made me go JFNMINJUGFSGH with excitement of infinite awesomeness too.

Okay, I know where you're coming from. And this artwork totally reminds you of Tangled and all, but please re-read the artist's comment. I drew this before I saw Tangled. This is based on the Loi-Kra-tong festival.
Yup, those sky lanterns are real. Right here, where I live.
I got the "reminds me of" in the other way around, because when I saw Tangled. That scene reminds me of my own country's festival and my own artwork.
