I found a book about goddesses from Creative Haven and liked the info. She is whatever worked at the moment; watercolor, oil markers, Spectrum noir, prismacolor, Zig, Pastel, cheap markers, expensive markers, Copic,etc. She took forever. She's larger than the original, the detail was daunting. I tried to give her a glow.Β I also tried to use colors that were appropriate. Never again, but it was a good lesson in patience and persistence.The Japanese goddess is the guardian of flowers and trees, and is said to preside over Mt. Fuji, preventing it from erupting.

Wasn't the main colors in her robe before purple?Β I recall a work with purple and red, Oriental; and because of those colors it being outstanding in my mind.

I get your drift, they look like porcelain dolls. It's very hard to do the skin coloring. I actually use eggshell.
