awww thank you very much! you're my number one fan!
i love roses with their thorns because they represent both beauty and death. all my OCs were born with that kind of character (something in contradiction like love/hate, filthy/beautiful, loving/cruel... etc.) that's why i like to put them in my drawings
in this picture, the concept is about forgiving oneself. so inspite of the fresh cuts on his arms, he bows down as to accept what has been done. the faces along the side are the faces he sees in the back of his mind. somes weep for him, somes look down at him. they are all in his head. they are like his past, his present, and his future... something that he will always be stuck with. it's kind of like what is said in Linkin Park's Papercut. anyway, he finally accept them all. he finally finds himself in peace because he can reconcile with his very self. the faces, the candles, and all the details are built in a stlyle of an arch to represent sanctuary.
and again, thank you very much for your wonderful comment i'm happy you like
