Meet Pepito, the Humboldt penguin statue I made for my class' wildlife exhibition and so named due to their habitat being in South America (as well as following the tradition at my local zoo for naming them). He did not sell (sadly), so I was allowed to keep him! Pepito is the perfect cuddling shape and size, although he's a bit taller and much chunkier than real Humboldts.

He is made of a Styrofoam base, plaster strips and modeling paste laid over top, and painted in acrylics. The only additions I had to make were a bit more Styrofoam for his beak and Bristol board for his wings (which were attached with a bit of wire and a LOT of plaster).
