About: in my head there's an idea for kagome getting so sick and tired of Inuyasha comparing Kagome to Kikyo, that in an emotional time, after being injured the miko from the future would actually cut off her locks, helping him to realize, that Kagome is NOT Kikyo. The visual reminder gone, Inuyasha eyes must open up, unfortunately, Kagome is no longer waiting for him as he has hoped she would.Not from a fic. the sword she's holding is not any of the famous one its more like a short sword, maybe Sango's. This is NOT marked 18+ b/c she's got bindings on from being injured. No, i have no idea WHAT injured her...
I have a reason for her pants being so puffy. for the most part, since she doesn't have a top on, the pants have large holes on the sides and because obviously the wind is blowing a great deal, the air is kinda whipping around inside of them, making them puff up.

I can sense the pain and frustration that Kagome must be feeling in this beautiful piece. Constantly being considered somebody you're not. I think Kagome has mentioned her NOT being Kikyo several times to Inuyasha and the others in the feudal era.Β
Seriously, I'm in love with art work right now!Β Β Do mind if I use this idea in a fanfic I plan on writing soon? I had the idea of her cutting her hair in my head while i watched the show and wished they did it, but looking at this just floods my brain with ideas.Β

yanno i was ONCE upon a time an Inu/Kag shipper. BUT this was before the end of the manga. Not to sell you on another pairing, b/c While My OTP is SK, i really am a fan of pairing kagome just about anyone BUT inuyasha.
For me, i was IK from the start, BUT, then i read the rest of the manga, I dunno if it's my age, or the fact that I'm from the Western culture, but at the time i could identify with some of the things in myself when i was Kagome's age, i write as if it's what I would want to do, and deal with. B/c of this, looking at Inuyasha in the manga... He's not that nice to Kagome at all. And Rumiko really butchers Kagome's independence and will over the full manga.
In the beginning kagome would get pissed whenever Inuyasha was rude or disrespectful, She'd scream sit in a second, but by the end it was almost like she just gave up. And i never liked the whole thing about her being okay with Inuyasha/kikyo. Don't get me wrong, to each there own, but i cant see myself wanting to be happy with someone who has for most of the time i've known them thought of me with fondness b/c i look like someone else. THIS above all is why i cant think IK anymore.
THEN there was the famous SK fic, "tales from the house of the Moon" Which i only read b/c so many artist had done so many fanarts for it. I thought, 'if that work is so good that it's got it's own DA group, fanart galore, AND someone has started traslating it in multi languages/youtube audio books, it HAS to be good.!' and then i was hooked. houseofthemoon.deviantart.com/

The reason I like Inu/Kag shipping is because they just seem to be perfect for each other. Unlike Kikyo, Kagome accepted InuYasha for who he was, not what he was, and that's exactly what he need, along with having Kagome with him to unintentionally teach him how to be merciful and kind and how to be around other people.Β
Β No offense, but I just don't see how people could even come up with Sesshomaru with Kagome; those two don't show any affection towards each other through the whole series. (That, plus he tried to kill her like 4 times.) They barely even talk to each other. No offense, seriously. Besides, I think Rin is who he truly cares about; she's his version of Kagome, sweet and innocent and there to teach him about love for humanity and mercy. Just how he is there for her when she had no one.Β
And between you and me, I don't think Kagome was EVER "okay" ( Β ) with the whole InuYasha and Kikyo thing; I think she just accepted it. And what do you mean by butchered Kagome's independence and will? She seemed to be the most strong-willed character in the whole show!Β

2. Naraku has tried to kill her like a thousand time and he's a jackass!Β
3. Inutaisho is taken by TWO women already (must run in the family, huh?

You know, you're kind of like me. Only not with the couples, but with the characters in general. I love to fit the characters into another role-play kind pf thing.
Examples: High school (but that's been done to death), still in the feudal era, but with different lives and story, adults in the city and falling for each other, I think I even thought of one of making Kagome a secret witch once. I know, it's lame!Β Β

I can see your point on a lot of it honestly, I never even thought SK until I read, Tales from the House of the Moon. It's a fic that might lead to being converted. But as far as Kagome herself goes, I think I look at the big picture and think that the end result is sad more then anything.
Her Character, while some might say has grown up and matured, feels more like her firey nature was stripped away slowly and replaced with a docile female. Take the beginning of the anime/manga either or, Kagome is new the the past, scared, i get that. But she's willing to take on everything that comes her way, never stops, has a temper about a lot of things, and generally doesn't like inuyasha b/c he's rude and sees her as Kikyo.
There's a critical moment in which this all changes. A lot of IK and SK authors see this as the point in which kagome "Promises" to stay by his side. both the anime and manga though have her ASKING if it's okay that she stay by his side, even though he still has Kikyo issues. Part of me understands that takes a mature loving woman to want to stay with someone even though you KNOW they haven't gotten over that past love.
But from that point on, Kagome slowly starts to just go along with everything. It's like she can ONLY see Inuyasha, there's nothing else. she obsesses about him, (I know some would say she's in love but part of me wonders about a lot of it, Kagome cant really hate someone can she? Kikyo's taken all of the hate her soul had, or could make... Kagome wouldn't really ever be able to hate someone). He, Inuyasha, in turn is not that sweet to her. The anime has a lot of it down played, but he's rude to her through out the manga, he calls her names a lot, and when reading the manga, chapter after chapter it's a bit disturbing.
I didn't start to "not like" Inuyasha the character, until the first anime had finished. I was like WTF, and started reading the manga. it was an eye opener mostly b/c i didnt have to wait week to week it was all there and ready. B/c of that you dont have down time to let things settle. It just didnt seem very nice to me how he treats her. In the end she gives up everything to be with someone who never even picked her. Kikyo died, finally, there wasn't another option, she just settles.
Either way, I know SK don't enter act at all, but again, that's what fictions for! :3 And i'm very open to all plots, and pairings, if you can sell it to me. Miroku/Kagome have always seemed like a better pairing to me then IK, even when i liked IK, same thing for Sango/Inuyasha. And inu-papa, well... Wishfull thinking i suppose, if she can fall down a well into the past by 500 eyars with demons and swords that kill dead people, it wouldnt seem far fetched that inupapa and kagome could hook up some how, if you sell it right, then it always works! Though... not so much IK anymore (for me). i did have some old favorites for IK from way back when but they are very few in comparison.

I can understand what you're saying: it's not fair that Kagome gives up so much for InuYasha and yet he still mistreats her. But really, that's just how InuYasha is. Kagome knows in the series it's really just a big tough-guy act, because think of the way InuYasha grew, he was mostly alone and his life was constantly threatened, It's only natural for him to put up such an act. He means well and protects her with his life, especially in the Final Act.Β

This is a great piece. I can almost feel the cold nightwind blowing looking at this picture and _thank god_ I wasn't the only one who wanted her to this. Though I have to shamelessly admit that it might have been because I really loved the dramatic moment sakura had in naruto. I would have been happy, though, if Kagome had done anything to distance herself more from Kikyo, or to really fight for inu yasha. Or, you know, just letting it go. Because that fifty-something-volumes-long drama of whom he'll pick drove me up the wall. Especially as it was hard for me to even like Kagome anymore after she just played along. But there is a great deal of potential in the character and its pictures like this that show off what could have been. And its pictures like this that i love. So. Thanks for creating and sharing it

I like the idea of her having short hair. Maybe, getting it cut in a less dramatic way, but I might play around with this idea of her hair in my own story. I have her being 30 and overweight and a quite lazy, so why not have her with short hair too.

She goes back to the present and is stuck there. She ignores her inner voice telling her to do something and just gives up on life for the most part. She was meant to fight this evil company called Cinomed and is demonic spelled backwards. They slowly buy up most of the worldwide companies, and make this claim of finding this new energy source in the core of the Earth but things go wrong and they end up blowing up the Earth. Kagome suffered by not doing her duty and at the last minute goes to the well and feels the death of the entire planet, and there are reasons for all this to pass. Fifteen years has passed for her but for the rest of the gang only three have past when she lands in the past.
I have Sesshoumaru remembering his previous life before coming to Japan. The reason he thought he was only Sesshoumaru the Lord of Death because a spell had been casted for him to forget until the time he needed to remember who and what he truly was. In the last chapter when they are fighting and sees Kagome cracks start to form in his mind. From there over the three years he gets his memories back. He had a twin but she was a stillbirth. His species are always born has twin set and with his lost he never became stoic in nature. He had searched for her soul for thousands of years, but never really found her until Kagome shows back in the past.
I love the idea of them hooking up rather quickly and getting over the whole sex built up thing. I feel most stories of them finally hooking up is anticlimactic and rather do something different. I have wonder what the long term relationship would look like and feel like. I like questions in stories and what the story answering them. I have asked a few in mine and the answers are still not fully answer yet. Where is the line of duty, love, rewards, and consequences to being enlightened person goes through by all of those factors.
