Japanese Valentine's Day:
Wives & Adult Ladies Edition
Sakei Azami: For her husband, Teiji, she makes uniquely shaped homemade Honmei-choco. Yes, this notoriously hardhearted woman does in fact celebrate one of the two most annoying days of the year, but only because her husband would be absolutely heartbroken if she didn't. Oh, the things shes does for that annoyingly lovable idiot. Of course, she has to do it when he's away from home and her chocolates rarely look romantic, there might be one or two that can pass for a vaguely heart shaped candy, but when she coolly drops the blandly decorated package into his hands when she brushes past him the instant blush, bright smile and unexpectedly expected glomp that follows is well worth all the trouble. ...She'll never admit that to him, of course.
Minami Aomi: She has no romantic partner, but for her closest friends she buys them the best Giri-choco she can find and some small something special for each of them, no matter the cost. She used to try to make chocolates for her friends herself, but they always turned out so horrible and 100% inedible - and possibly poisonous - that she eventually just gave up. Even though she tells them not to get her anything, her friends always pitch in to buy her a very big box of mixed alcoholic flavored chocolates to show their appreciation.
Irihi: For her husband, Kazuo, she makes lovely, artistic heart and flower shaped homemade Honmei-choco, and she even makes her own equally romantic looking box to put them in. Hidden somewhere inside the box is also a rather special, very, very mature themed note (and sometimes a "gift") for her slightly prudish husband as well - much to his embarrassment, although he should really be used to her antics by now. However, he's still going to read it, and without a doubt, get laid. She does not skimp the slightest on the romance, even though she knows that Kazuo would gladly accept the barest of the bare minimum, just so long as it was from her.
Kuri: For her husband, Isato, she makes a variety filled box of homemade Honmei-choco. They're not perfect, but they're not indistinguishable chunks of chocolate either - the shapes and the intention and love is clearly there. She's quite shy and blushing when she gingerly hands the heart shaped box to her smirking husband - he has to tease her a bit just to make her blush brighten, but when she softly threatens to take it back, he quickly but gently takes it from her and thanks her with a kiss and a saucy wink that has her blush even more, smack him softly in the face with her scarf and promptly leave the room.
