Description
Character: Cobalt Netherwing Drake (World of Warcraft)Materials: Minky, fauz leather, twinkle crepe.
Size: Approx 29" long
Pictures do not do this beautiful baby any justice. He is so much more majestic in person. This is my third Netherwing, despite not really liking WoW at all, I've grown pretty fond of them. I am so ridiculously happy with how he turned out
I got the opportunity to use gelato minky again (that stuff is GORGEOUS) and the wing and tail membranes or whatever are a fabric I found at my local store called 'twinkle crepe' which has this really pretty sheen to it. He features embroidered eyes and teeth.This pattern is completely new; when I went to find my old pattern to start this, I couldn't find it anywhere so I had to start again from scratch. I was going to majorly update the old pattern anyway, but in a way I think it might have been better to just start fresh.

Indeed I do, though I'm on a bit of break at the moment. Haha, I can't say I have either.

WOW! You can tell what heart and what time that you placed into this gorgeous piece. I thought it was gelato minky but didn't assume in case I was insane, but how beautiful! I haven't seen it used in so many works, but does it ever make the difference here! As if it is standing beside a lake and the reflection is casting its colors over its body. Beautiful.
Love the scales, love the claws, love the crepe fabric! I'm always fascinated when different mediums are used to create a plush and they all flow together so well as they do here. And those aquamarine accents! Just so much to love in such a perfect package. I'm lame and had to look up the original, not having played WoW despite being a nerd in almost every other fandom, but the resemblance is perfect! So clean - bright and color like the original while paying attention to its intimidating air. This pattern must have taken quite the while to make! So much respect for creating it and updating it again and making it all the more accurate.
AND its a "Plush Again"? Love how both are so well done. You can simply do no wrong with a sewing machine!
Just love, love, love your work. Can never get enough of it. So excited for this year and what it will bring for you!

Thank you! Haha, I am absolutely in LOVE with gelato minky, so definitely expect to see a few more things using it (I just received four more colours!) and it's just perfect for Netherwings. It's even more amazing in person though - my photos do it no justice whatsoever.

The netherwings are the best mounts I've ever gotten. They're old expac wise, but no mount has come out that's been any cooler.

I sent them a note asking if they'll sell me some swatches.Β I've been looking for a purple-y gelato minky but I'm not sure whether I'd rather have the grape or the huckleberry.Β I assume this lovely guy is made with the grape, right?

Oooh, swatches are a good idea. Yes, he's made from grape. My other one was made of Aqua, which is really pretty too. I'd love to get some blueberry one day and use it for Nightmare Moon's mane.
