Not entirely. There is evidence for both and unfortunately the hyrule historia lacks in connection between timelines enough to make the historia seem... Less informational and more "piece up stories here and now." In Ocarina of Time shiek is portrayed as a male and mysteriously becomes Zelda. He could very well be a he.

ok, one main theory of sheik's gender is that he is a guy....but when zelda poses as sheik, he's a girl.....basically, sheik was an entirely other person that impa had a relationship with and he taught her many stuff including a song to transform oneself to looking like him. and it's believed that impa taught zelda this in the seven years leading to adult link's era and therefore zelda is merely posing as sheik but he was in fact another person in a different time....just a theory however XD

Lot's of people are commenting that Sheik is a girl, which isn't really clear yet
I wanted to say so... There are different theories about Zelda and Sheik, transforming, disguised or maybe Zelda's soul in a man's body.
Nevertheless, this pictures is beautiful!

In the ocarina of time remake for the 3ds, Shigeru Miyamoto actually made sure to give Sheik a more "curved" body to try and make it very clear that she was a girl... The nintendo licensed comics actually shows that Zelda had strapped her chest and was posing as a boy...
I'm not trying to be rude about it, I'm just trying to say that it was always intended, and supposedly very clear that Sheik was a girl... >.< (Emphasis on supposedly)

the comics aren't in anyway related with the original story line of ocarina of time nor were they officially approved and you can see sheik has male anatomy you can tell by the narrow hips and broad shoulders and blah blah sheik is male why am i commenting on this you can ignore me it's really late

the comics were not made by the original ocarina of time producers they were drawn by akira himekawa. and a lot of things have the official seal it just means it's merchandise , it doesn't have to be accurate. if you look at the other parts of the comic a lot of it is not in the game so it doesn't really count. and miyamoto may have contributed a lot to that game but that doesn't mean sheik is his creation and i was just pointing out that sheik does not look feminine at all
