On Pangu, Winged Elves are said to be the descendants of the Gods themselves, and their wings are representative of their abilities. Hermes is certainly not the only Winged Elf blessed with Brilliant Plumes on Pangu, but on Kreriscul it's obviously different. Not everyone goes around flying on brightly colored enormous wings. :I And Hermes is honestly embarrassed to be seen in public with them, because they're not exactly hard to miss, nor are they very manly, being all sparkly rainbow colored.

But, he has no choice but to use them if he's on the other planets, since his airship abode currently can't do interplanetary travel, and he runs slow.

Hermes always wraps his face with his scarf when he flies at great heights, since it gets pretty cold that high up, and his light blocking goggles help protect his eyes from direct sunlight.

His coat is also very insulated, and pretty much every detail on it is made to increase air resistance. The ends of the sleeves cover his hands and end up flush with the rest of his form during flight, although he usually flies with his hands in his pockets anyway. The pointed flaps on the bottom of his coat fold out from the air currents, forming a tail like structure, since the actual tail that comes with his wings doesn't really function, it just looks fancy. And the straps on his sleeves and pants help keep the loose fabric from causing too much resistance.

He can cover about 70 miles in an hour at his leisure, and about 110 if he's in a rush.

He also usually doesn't wear a shirt under his coat, he overheats
