by the way did you inted to put the sentence "Hana... if only i have the courage to protect you and tell you how i----" in the past? if yes it should be "had" instead of "have"

I just think "had" is more correct because the way he says the sentence goes to the past tense and not to the present tense
and it's like he's saying that he has the courage the way it is.. and we both know that he wished he had that courage
