Oh my lord where do I begin here? So this one is special to me. A dear friend of mine commissioned this one, in fact it was my very first commission. He was torn between Izuku and Tomura. He wasn't sure what he wanted painted, but he wanted something to go along with my other All Might painting he wanted to buy. I asked him if I may have freedom to do as I please because I had an idea in my head and well, he agreed.This is the painting that came out. I wanted something inspirational. Something powerful. In this current time, everyone is living in fear of the COVID-19 Virus and I wanted something he could look at and smile. Remember to be brave.
Thus this painting was born. By far my favorite piece I've done.
This is the only picture I have of this one. I have a video of it on my TikTok, but only this picture. So excuse the messy paint board(box)

This..... now this goes beyond simple fanart. This to me represent the future, ones own inspiration. When one watches My Hero Academia, I believe it is so easy to just put ourselves in Deku's shows. We are that young hopeful underdog boy and like Deku we have something we don't just want to prove, we have to. You have created with your skills that very feeling. I would go as far to say you have summed up the entire series in this one single piece of work. Your art is creative, inspiring, and just revs up the emotions. I look at this, I can feel victory and the overwhelming sensation that you get when watching your favorite superhero on television.
I feel I should apologize as you clearly are far more skilled than I, so my critique may be not so useful, but I will definitely give me two cents. I would just advise having Deku as a sketch rather than just a silhouette. My reasoning is that looking at this piece we are seeing Deku as where he is in his life, that being a hero in training. He has not yet reached the level of Almight who is his future, what Deku will become. I also wouldn't even color Deku, but draw him with just inks and shadows, because to me I look at this picture and I think we are seeing inside Dekus mind and heart. This is where he wants to be, and clearly he will achieve this one way or another.
Again I want to stress this is a fantastic piece and it was a privilege to see such work.
