Characters from the "Evil" saga of songs/videos/now-a-theatre-production. If you can get the symbolism used, you're made of win. The story goes as follows:

Daughter of Evil
Servant of Evil
Daughter of White
Message of Regret/ Regret Message
Re_Birthday

There are many videos out there, but these work best together to tell the story, I think. I rearranged the order they came out in to make the story clearer for those new to it. Also note, there are other songs that are fan-made (Daughter of Green, Daughter of Vengeance, Prince of Blue, and King of Purple) but they aren't actually part of the story. You can tell the fakes by the fact they use the same music as the first song of the series.

I also recommend the classic chorus version of SoE, the musicbox version, the piano versions, and the ballad version of "Regret Message/Message of Regret".

So yeah... I finally figured out what a vocaloid is. And while I'm still kinda leery of a few aspects of it, I like this series (And the Dark Wood Circus series). I would absolutely love to see a production of the play or read the script... in English!

One 'complaint' I have of this series, though, is poor Haku. The only time you hear about the White Haired Girl is in her own song! I know that's because of the order they were released in, but poor Haku! She's not even included in most people's art! (Nobody cares to remember Old Sweepy Haku...) So I've come up with my own interpretation of why Haku deserves a place of honor...

Haku is the "Evil Saga" Jesus. WAIT! Hear me out!! She gets her own song where other key players (read: Everyone who isn't the twins) don't; she's important! All she wants to do is live peacefully and work hard as long as she has one friend in her life. Humble, yes? All about love, yes? She meets the characters she effects by helping them up after they fall. And she forgives Rin for genociding her people and killing her first true friend because she realizes Rin is as lonely as Haku once was. That, and Len seems to be haunting about. It's implied they lived together after that, until they died and were reborn. (Even if she's not usually shown in the 'reborn' videos...) If that '"turn the other cheek'"ing doesn't get her Jesus Points, I don't know what does.

Also, everything in Re_Birthday seems symbolic of the people in the Evil Saga, with Miku's voice, Meiko's cuffs, Kaito's chains... I'm going to say Haku is represented when everything turns white and they can be reborn. Her forgiveness is what allows Rin's message to reach Len and let's them all be reincarnated.

That's my literary analysis thought and I'm stickin' to it. Because she never gets represented in this series and she needs to counter-balance Miku.
