Have you seen either "The mummy" or "The mummy returns"?
Alex is the son to Evelyn (Librarian/Archaelogist(is that the right word?)) and Rick O'Connel (Treasure Hunter) (who were tearing each other's heads off in the first movie), a proud 8 years of age in "The mummy returns" and a classical, stereotyped comic relief if I ever saw one.
But I absolutely love these movies. Go watch them, now! (Evelyn seriously influenced the way I imagine Hermione, I guess....)

Yes, I have the first movie. I like the look of Evelyn (her makeup is to cool).
I must of seen the second movie, but maybe I'm mistaken, because I've watched a few episode of the cartoon serie The mummy.

aw, I loved that cartoon!
But I've only seen it a couple of times, because it aired at 7.30 on sunday mornings, and by the love of Merlin: I couldn't get up in time (basicly because more than often that is about the time when I come home)and taping it seemed a bit silly....
