Design sheet of Zhivago.The initial 3D model we received was oh..my..god... I had to go in and Paint over the 3D model to show them what needed to be fixed. And they still missed the scar in the final model.
I wish I knew 3D so I could bust that shit out myself!! And it would look so good!!! D:<

idk zhivago's a good character, i mean everyone has flaws? but tbh there are way too many characters for me to have just one favourite so im not even gonna bother trying

I agree that he is a good character and that he was going to change up a bit in the story but things just took a really bad turn for the worst,it looks like>.<...And I'd say things aren't looking to good for Zhivago(or for anyone at that matter)but who knows,hopefully,something changes quickly!....I also have to agree,there are too many characters on Gaia who are awsome but I can't help but chooseX)~!

I was really disappointed at the 3-D version. It's nice to hear that some of the artists were, as well. I had begun to lose hope in you guys.
I was honestly really hoping for a 2-D animation. That would have been totally kick-arse.

There was a short film, "Kakurenbo:Hide and Seek," that I always thought took an interesting route to their animation. They modeled and animated the whole 30min film in 3D(color, lighting and all) and then had a staff of artists draw outlines over the 3D models and add smaller details.
I'm not sure what kind of financial backflips might be required to have everything animated in 3D, only to get a animation 2D staff essentially redo the entire animation over top of it, but I feel like it would at least produce a more pleasing end product. If that seems like it might be an alternative worth considering in the future anyway.

Very awesome. I think he was probably one of my favorite characters, though he was sorta evil-ish.

i cant fault anything with this character, its really a wonderful design, i adore his skin tone, it works really well for him and his style, his suit is absoluelty fantastic and the shading in the tie is amazing, your work never ceases to amaze.

To me, Zhivago was one of the only models that looked somewhat decent in the final version, thus, in the actual released animation.
I think it's rather tragic the 3D models missed the point completely, compared to your (and Gaia's art staff) neat designs/character art. They looked like standard Poser models, altered slightly.

Lovely it's not the right word for this character, but I like the lines so much. He is still but you can se that he is about to move, very very very good!
