The gradation of the red into black behind the figure leads me to want a deeper background. I see crackled earth and I feel this ground could be explored more. Alas, I like how the figure 'emerges' from the earth.
The stylized lines resembling a sort of web could be explored more I believe, yet their presence is convincing.
The skill in this painting is utilized well, color use is skillful and organized. Being a surreal composition it leads my imagination to ponder the artists meanings behind it. I compliment the free, and untethered nature of this painting. The human figure has been distorted many ways though the years, yet the execution of this painting sets it in a high potential.
I think the background needs exploring. Other than that, I appreciate this piece.

this is so wonderful. Love the colors, very sad but engaging, and painful yet peaceful to look at. It looks very elegant, but modern and almost has a subtle cartoonlike quality in her eyes and expression.

the colours. wonderful imagination and
detail. and, it makes a statement about
womanhood in the world.
