I feel this is the darkest and lightest I can go with this. I am angry with myself for using such terrible paper. It will not take anymore layers. 70 lb Drawing Paper with very bad scratchy grain. I did this of my collie I used to have years ago, the only picture I have is from a polaroid and it is a full body shot. So this is done mostly by memory. Not the lassie color but the tri-color collie black wth tan & white markings.

Lovely work! I love the tri-color on rough collies. It's very hard to convey tri-color in pencil and you did a wonderful job with this!

Hi. I'm from the forum. I couldn't see the particular thumbnail you posted (for some reason DA wasn't displaying it). This one caught my eye though. I really like how you treated the fur/hairs of the dog as it looks like a really soft flowing coat.
