Aria T'Loak Fanart. Aria is from Mass Effect and is a pretty fearsome character.She is actually my second favorite character from Mass Effect lol XD Its interesting
since Tali is my first favorite and Aria is my second. Their personalities both
contrast greatly. Aria is a BAMF! XD She really is lol You dont want to mess
with her! I like her character because she is strong and she has this fearsome
'dont you dare mess with me or you will see the airlock' attitude but she
also has this softness within her. Her character grew on me not too long after
I met her in ME2. She doesnt have a big role, but she has a big impact as a
character personally.
An Asari:
Aria is an Asari, an alien race in Mass Effect. Their features are humanlike but
they differ greatly from humans. One is the shape of their heads. Its an interesting
design. Also, they can live to 1000 years XD So yes thats like a 900 year difference
when compared to a human.
The Shield:
Aria has biotic powers so I tried to express her biotics in this fanart. She is emitting
a powerful energy shield (lol I attempted to XD) which are all those lights you see and
the circular encasing you see forming around her. Its not a moon lol
Overview:
I tried to make Aria's face as close to her face in the game. Its not perfectly
like her but its kinda close lol And her pose is a but awkward and slightly
disproportional. But all in all, I am actually quite happy how this turned out.
I wasnt expecting to make it this intense with the colors. I know that I did
want to do this character justice so I took my time.
This took me around 15 hours XD 7/15/2012 & 7/16/2012
References used for Aria are from the game Mass Effect.

Idea of biotic shield was great. This effect on picture looks cool and shows the true power of Aria.

Ah Aria, one of those rare characters that turn me on and scare the living crap me in equal measure...
I think you did a great job on a face, considering how hard it is to get right. I think maybe her brows could be lowered a tad to make her a bit more brooding but the hard line of her jaw and chin is just right - and that's one of her defining features.
All in all it's another wonderful image. Makes me wish I could still draw xD

Ah! Yes! I was looking at Aria images with Carrie Anne Moss, and I was thinking they looked extremely similar (like their overall facial structure,chin, eyes, and cheekbones). But I wasnt sure if she was modeled off her since I didnt see information about it anywhere confirming it, but their features were so close that it had me convinced somewhat! Its just Aria's nose is different XD Lol that is so awesome! I wonder who else is modeled after people. I heard somewhere that male Shepherd was modeled after a model lol I knew about Miranda and Joker since they were in a short video I watched saying they are the face and voice actor of them

I think Ali Hillis looks more like Liara than Julian Murray. XD I dont see much of Liara in Murray but only through her nose and lips mostly. Hillis's facial structure and eyes look more like Liara to me haha ^^ This is very interesting!

Yeah, Liara's modelled on an actress named Jillian Murray. Samara's modelled on an actress too, I believe.
I wish they did all human woman like Miranda. Not that they all look like her, I mean it'd be nice if they all looked so unique and realistic. I remember when I first saw Miranda, I was like: "wow, she's the most realistic-looking woman I've ever seen in a game O_O"

Yes Miranda does look unique! I have to agree that she is one of the most realistic looking woman in the game. There's no one like her too! I also think that most of everyone in the game have their own unique features and that is one of the things I really admire about the game

but
what makes me think is however human brain grow and gain knowledge or getting understand about science, human brain won't grow unnaturally, well except in some disease.
and for some people, who made alien looks like human is just because no creature as perfect as human. because the real alien for me is actually as big as germ and any other microbe. haha...
