helps to have a wide lens and I admit I got the idea from another deviant.. Actually theres a b/w print of a different angle for sale in the city.. I must try and emulate that.

Well I have been getting a lot of ideas from looking at your gallery. I wouldn't try to replicate any of your photos. I'm learning quite a bit from what you have done. I've never tried HDR but that will come soon.

what i love about this picture is if you look at it upside down, it looks like its a all building pointing up to a city in the sky.

I deleted it... but theres a good tool in the PS tool menu.. called the patch tool... locate it and search the PS help for its use... otherwise I copied and saved this idea
Fixing Lens flare
1.-Using the elliptical marqee or other selection tool, make an approximate selection that covers the flare.
2.Use the Burn tool to gradually increase the density of the flare region so it matches the density of the surrounding regions. You may need to change the size of the brush and also the range which is being altered (highlights, midtones, shadows)
3.Make a new empty layer and set its blending mode to colour
4.Select a soft edged brush and choose the colour by sampling from the adjacent correct colour regions on the lowest level
5.Paint this over the flared regions on the top layer – probably pay to use a low brush opacity so yoy can gradually build up the colour to the appropriate density
6.when complete you can cut back the intensity of the affect by changing the opacity or fill controls for the top layer.
7.You could also make minor corrections to the edges by merging the almost fixed image and then using the clone tool to correct any regions which still need work
OR
layer>new adjustment layer>hue/saturation
then drop the saturation a fair ammount... click enter then ctrl(or command) + I to invert it, then paint (with the paintbrush) on white with a soft opacity to taste...
I LIKE the idea of leaning it up using an adjustment layer.. could give a more subtle effect.. that last one I haven't worked thru yet...
came from Jeremy [link]
he seems a helpful sort!
