Thanx Gill.. after comments on my three variant of this I kept truck2 and sent this one to scraps! Glad you liked it! Glad the farmer left it on display near his cattle grid.

A lucky find indeed...I liked it because it looked like it was bleeding, but I really like the one you kept as well.

I prefer this one to the other, the colours just seem alot more appealing. A great picture, the foreground seems to jump out at you which looks great

One of my lovely DA friends told me this one was just a pic with bad colour heheh.... to each his own.. I'm thinking I might have over done it a bit but it was fun at the time!

Thanx Ari.. if you ever come across a tutorial on "old Fashioned " colour let me know because a soft faded kodachrome look would be good for this shot!

Lot of work, early starts and late finishes due to commuting but I'm also try to work thru a Photoshop book and CD I got and would like to work out some techniques to match the clever buggers overseas. I'm aiming for moody colourized atmospheric landscapes instead of my ultra real saturated ones but will have to develop my own technques first. But I'll keep trying to drop a Dev a week if I can!

Ah - so you are alive. I noticed you hadn't posted for a good while. Thought maybe the heat had gotten to ya. Nice job on this one. I may have to get a copy of that book for myself! The caption that came to mind was "Toto, we aren't in Kansas anymore..." But, I'm not sure if Aussies would understand. I think I will submit it for a DD - don't get your hopes up - they don't always choose the best pics; but it should at least be nominated!

Aw thanx.... if they don't choose the best pics then I'm in with a shot heheh. Never seen a Yellow Brick road but the reference is folklore! I've been working long and hard and doing my PS book study. Also had to sort out some bolchie computers!

bolchie - - - new word. Doesn't sound fun. I'm going cross-eyed from fixing css and html codes. Can't wait to get into my new book Photoshop Lab Color by Dan Margulis. I've looked through it and the books looks absolutely wonderful for photographers. His theory is there are not bad photos just bad photoshop users. ha.
