LMPC stands for legal metrology packaged commodities. LMPC certification is required by all the importers and manufacturers of retail products, LMPC registration is not required for industrial or wholesale product, Legal metrology licence is granted in approximately 3-4 days. If the importer of manufacturer does not have LMPC certificate there are certain penalties as per the law which are to be borne by defaulter. The registration number of LMPC mark has to be mentioned on the compliant product.
